Care & Maintenance

Regular cleaning / maintenance

  • All our stone composite products have a smooth, matte finish and are manufactured one at a time by hand so some mild colour variation may occur.

  • Baths arrive fully sealed and can be easily cleaned with a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser.

  • Never use abrasive cleaners such as JIFF / AJAX as these will scratch the surface of your product.

  • Never use bleach / ammonia or solvent like acetone / nail polish remover as these will prematurely remove the sealer and will lead to stains.

  • When filling your bath, always run the water using hot and cold at the same time to minimize the risk of thermal shock (especially in cold weather)

  • Do not use bath bombs, Epsom salt, magnesium, or essential oils in your bath as it main remove the seal prematurely and create stains / marks.

  • Do not leave water in your bath overnight as it may create marks around the water edge.

  • Do not use hair dye in or over the bath as it may stain the surface.

  • If you do not intend installing your bath straight away, you must cover it, so nothing enters the bath surface and cause staining.

Removing stains and buildups

  • Even with regular cleaning, you may experience stains or buildups. This will depend on the hardness of your water, on the frequency at which you use your bath and on the products you have added to your bath water.

  • If you notice mineral deposits (which look like whitish calcium stains), use a mix of 50% cleaning white vinegar and 50% water. Dip a cloth into the mix and apply it on the affected area for a few minutes. Thoroughly rinse and dry. We recommend testing this on a small area first.

  • If you notice soap scum, mix water and baking soda to make a paste. Apply to the affected area for a few minutes. Thoroughly rinse and dry. Thoroughly rinse and dry. We recommend testing this on a small area first.
